Founders' Day

The Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incoporated celebrated Founders' Day with style and grace. The chapter attended the Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation where the newest chapter members wore their gorgeous green Beta Alpha suits. Upon the conclusion of convocation, chapter members marched to the various Alpha Kappa Alpha plots on campus to pay homage to our Founders through songs, chants, and a balloon release.

But for Beta Alpha, the Founders' Day celebrations could not be contained. The chapter decided to honor our Founders by serving our community. Chapter members volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club of Oak Ridge Elementary School. The afteroon was full of playful laughter as the chapter conducted a field day for the children.

To conclude the Founders' Day festivites Beta Alpha joined the Zeta Omicron, Delta Kappa Omega, and Chi Upsilon Omega chapters in Tallahassee for a joint Founders' Day picture at Cascade Park.
